Before you move your reading list

Moving a reading list feels small until you realize it represents months of your time. Before you commit to a tracker, test the everyday details with a few titles.

1. Can you get your data out?

Look for an export of saved titles and progress. Keep a copy somewhere you control. An export is useful even if you never switch apps.

2. What is public?

Check whether your username, favorites and reading history appear in a community directory. A private list should remain private until you deliberately share it.

3. Does progress survive a device change?

Read a little on one device, close the app, and check another. Test a completed chapter and a partly read chapter separately. Avoid testing with a title whose source changes numbering.

4. What does a subscription actually buy?

A paid tracker is not automatically a licensed comics library. Check the app's terms, source rules, price, renewal date and cancellation process. Understand what remains available when a trial ends.

5. Can you reach a person?

Try the published support address before trusting an app with your main library. Describe one concrete issue and see whether the reply explains the next step.

A good first test

Move five active titles and five titles you are saving. Use them for one week. If the tracker saves you effort, expand the library. If it creates extra chores, keep your existing method.
