A calmer way to marinate your manhwa

Marinating means leaving a series alone while chapters accumulate, then coming back for a longer read. The difficult part is remembering which stories you're waiting for and where you left off.

Give waiting its own shelf

A series you haven't started should not compete with something you're reading every week. Keep a separate waiting list, and note why it's there: too few chapters, a current cliffhanger, or simply the wrong mood.

Choose a return rule

You might return when a season ends or when a specific chapter count is available. Write the rule down. Total published chapters and unread chapters aren't the same: a title with 100 chapters only gives you ten new chapters if you've already read 90.

What the current app does

ManwhaHaven's Marinating shelf currently moves a series to Reading at 100 total chapters. That is a fixed threshold. It does not yet support a personalized “wait for 20 unread chapters” rule.

Review without turning it into work

Set aside a few minutes before your next binge to check the waiting list. Drop stories you no longer want to read. Your reading list is a menu, not an obligation.

Keep your source

Save an authorized source link where available. A change in source, translation or chapter numbering can otherwise make old progress difficult to interpret.
